Tender Description

The Australasian Chapter of Addiction Medicine (AChAM) seeks a Fellow to join the QScript Health Practitioner User Advisory Forum.

Description

Queensland Health has successfully implemented real-time prescription monitoring for monitored medicines across the state, thanks to the robust support of regulatory policies, educational endeavors, and engagement initiatives.

To further enhance the effectiveness of the QScript system and ensure it meets the needs of end-users, Queensland Health are establishing an advisory forum. This forum will serve as a vital platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, share information, and provide valuable feedback or advice to the department. By facilitating open communication, Queensland Health aims to optimise the usability and functionality of QScript while addressing pertinent issues in collaboration with stakeholders. The inaugural forum meeting is scheduled for April 2024.

Key information:

  • 2 meetings will be held annually, with the initial meeting scheduled for 90 minutes in April. Details regarding the exact dates will be communicated soon, with the Deputy Director-General of Queensland Health Protection and System Support (DDG QPHaSS) chairing the session. The second meeting is planned for October 2024, with specific dates to be confirmed.
  • All meetings will be conducted virtually, ensuring accessibility and convenience for all participants.
  • The duration of nomination for forum representatives is flexible and determined by each stakeholder organisation. However, Queensland Health will conduct annual check-ins to ensure the continued availability and support of the current nominee. Nominees are expected to articulate their organisation's perspectives, solicit input, and effectively communicate forum outcomes to their respective organisations.
  • The establishment of this forum, endorsed by DDG QPHaSS in January 2024, underscores Queensland Health's commitment to collaborative governance and stakeholder engagement in healthcare innovation.

Are you ready to contribute to shaping the future of prescription monitoring in Queensland? Join Queensland Health on this transformative journey by participating in the advisory forum.
