Tender Description

Shellharbour City Council extends an invitation for an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the operation, supply, maintenance, and management of aviation fuel services, specifically catering to the needs for Jet A1 and AV Gas. This opportunity involves leasing land at 2/18 Airport Road, Albion Park Rail, with the goal of sourcing aviation fuel at competitive prices to support the airport's operations.

Interested parties are to note that the expectation for this proposal involves redevelopment and the potential need for introducing their infrastructure to adequately meet the operational requirements. While there exists an opportunity to negotiate for the purchase or use of existing infrastructure on the site, which includes fuel tanks, small storage sheds, and a detached, semi-open bay with a drive-through steel-clad structure, this should not be considered a guaranteed option. Prospective Lessee's should be prepared for the possibility of developing a purpose-built facility to ensure the provision of high-quality aviation fuel services. Successful negotiation for the existing infrastructure will depend on discussions with the current lessee and may require a valuation assessment.

Shellharbour is home to a stunning coastline, featuring National Surfing Reserve, Killalea, and new The Waterfront Shell Cove precinct and it's Shellharbour Marina. Set under the backdrop of the lush Illawarra Escarpment, west of the coast you will find picturesque bushland, rolling pastures and rainforest.

Shellharbour Airport is serviced by Link Airways, which provide regular passenger services (RPT) between Shellharbour Brisbane and Shellharbour Melbourne (Essendon Fields).
