Identifying Suppliers of Fibre Structured Cabling and Passive Components

⁠⁠⁠Please note this is an Request for Information activity only and no procurement is being sought at this stage.

We're just completing an RFI activity to identify potential future suppliers of fibre structured cabling and passive components in the Hardware Marketplace.

If you have the ability to source some, all, or items that are similar in nature, please respond accordingly. As this is not an exhaustive list, if your company has the ability to source other structured cabling hardware and items please let us know in your response.

The users and their needs

Please refer to the attached RFI documentation for a small idea of some of the items that we use. Its not an exhaustive list but hopefully it gives you an idea of the items we may look to procure for future installation activities.

Fibre Cabling (various patch cabling and MTP solutions) -

• If you are able to supply this hardware, can you please provide information on the manufactures you are able to source from.
• Are you able to supply a range of sheath colours and connectors (LC/LCA/SC/SCA + others)?
• Are there minimum order quantities?

Fibre Optic Passive Components -

• Are you able to supply high quality passive fibre components? Items such as Isolators, Splitters, and Bandpass Filters?

Custom Fibre Enclosures (see attachment LC-MTP Optical Isolator Enclosure) -

• Ability to create custom rack mounted enclosures to suit customer requirements. An example may be a 1RU 19" enclosure with 48x Optical Isolators (see attachment for layout). In this example each Isolator has an LC connector on the input and is part of a combined MTP connector on the output.
• Enclosure are sometimes made up of various passive components, spliced together, and range of connector configurations.
• Do you have access to a facility that can create these enclosures to a high quality standard?
• Are you able to offer an end product that is fully tested and delivered with a warranty
