Tender Description

Redland City Council has opened expressions of interest for positions on the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) assessment panel.

Local artists, arts workers and representatives from cultural groups are encouraged to apply. Representatives are appointed to the panel for a minimum of two years and will be paid for their time and expertise.

A new panel is expected to be inducted in late March ahead of the assessment period beginning for the next round of grant funding in April.

Panelist responsibilities include attending and participating in RADF assessment meetings, evaluating and providing feedback to grant applications, promoting the RADF program within local networks, and ensuring that allocated funds align with RADF guidelines and eligibility criteria.

Grants are awarded across two rounds each financial year to support professional and emerging artists and arts workers in the region.

The program aims to promote access to, and participation in, arts and culture, as well as to empower artists and drive cultural and economic development within Redlands Coast.

Almost $34,000 was distributed to five local groups during the previous funding round in 2023-24, supporting various events including a comedy show, professional development, film production and a choir for individuals living with dementia.

The RADF program is delivered through a partnership between Redland City Council and the Queensland Government.

For more information, including how to submit an expression of interest for the panel, contact Council’s RADF Liaison Officer at RADFgrants@redland.qld.gov.au or visit the Regional Arts Development Fund page on Council’s website.
