Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠This procurement relates to the supply and installation of four HVDC subsea cables of ~40km in length in designated cable routes in the Cook Strait CPZ, connecting termination stations in Oteranga Bay in the North Island and Fighting Bay in the South Island. Three cables are to replace the existing HVDC cables and the fourth is to add additional capacity to the inter-island link.

The existing cables are expected to require replacement prior to end of life in, which our condition analysis indicates to be circa 2032. The scope of this procurement also includes recovery of the three HVDC cables currently in use.
