Tender Description
The purpose of this tender process is to assess the ability of Service Providers to deliver First Aid Training services to the Victorian Country Fire Authority (CFA).
CFA is a volunteer and community-based fire and emergency services organisation. Members help to protect 3.3 million people, more than one million homes and 50,182 sq km of land across Victoria.
The 1,210 CFA fire brigades around Victoria respond to bushfires, house fires, industrial fires, road accidents, rescues, and other emergencies. We also work closely with local communities to raise awareness about fire safety and plan for bushfires.
CFA has over 50,000 members, consisting of approximately 51,738 Volunteers, and around 879 support staff. CFA is made up of 1,210 Brigades, 129 Groups and 21 Districts.
CFA has policies and guidelines in place related to the First Aid training and qualifications requirements of its members. These policies and guidelines are based on CFAs internal risk assessment and specify standards of accreditation, timing of requalification and skills maintenance requirements.
Services Required
The Country Fire Authority is seeking a Service Provider to deliver First Aid Training services throughout Victoria. CFA requires delivery of First Aid Training under the four course types.
- HLTAID009 - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid
- HLTAID014 - Provide Advanced First Aid and
- HLTAID015 - Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
Each course type aligns to nationally recognised units of competency which are listed in detail in the Specification.
Term of Contract
The initial term of contract is for three (3) years with two (2) additional twelve (12) month extension options, to be exercised at CFA’s discretion. It is intended that the new contract will commence on or around the 1 July 2024 or upon negotiation.
