Parkes Shire Council, in conjunction with Forbes and Lachlan Shire Councils is inviting Quotations from suitably skilled Consultants to develop a Regional Drought Resilience Plan for the region of the three local government areas, that will focus on needs of the region in building drought resilience and will be developed from the perspective that drought is a regional development issue. Community level drought resilience depends upon strong primary industries and agricultural supply chains sectors as well as other businesses, community organisations and local government.

The project will involve close collaboration with various stakeholders from within the three Councils and relevant community groups and local leaders.
