1. Purpose

Maintaining trees around power lines within Myrtleford is an important task that Council cannot currently adequately resource. The purpose of the work is to ensure that the trees are properly managed, aligning with council requirements and regulations.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community safety and uninterrupted power supply, we are now seeking experienced contractors to undertake tree lining electrical line clearance work in Myrtleford.

The primary purpose of this project is to guarantee a continuous and reliable power supply to the community by maintaining trees to specific distances from power lines.

By outsourcing this task to qualified contractors, we aim to efficiently manage the clearance space around power lines, ensuring the safety of residents and the reliability of the power infrastructure.

We are inviting quotes to undertake the required works in 2024 and also ongoing annual works to 2026.

2. Project Scope

The contractor will be tasked with attending to every tree identified in Appendix 1, covering the entire span from pole to pole within the specified clearance space or as outlined in the provided works audit.

The scope of work includes:

1. Clearing Each Tree

The contractor is required to clear each tree located within the specified clearance space around high and low voltage power lines.

2. Debris Removal

Contractors will be responsible for the complete removal of all debris generated during the tree work at each site. This includes proper disposal in compliance with environmental regulations.
