Austin Health is one of Victoria’s largest health care providers, comprising the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre.

Austin Health is seeking a supplier who can provide a system (middleware):

• For Device integration of anesthetic machines, physiological monitors, depth of anesthesia monitors and cardiac output monitor for use with Austin Health EMR (Cerner CareAware Cloud)

• To allow collection of HL7 data from device and a gateway to facilitate integration in Cerner.

The proposed consolidation will collect data from multiple devices, filter out desired variables and convert to desired unit of measure. HL7 data will then be sent to Cerner to allow the clinical user to observe and validate at set intervals. Under the proposed approach, existing Phillips IntelliVue monitors would be retained.

The aim of the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) is to:

• Identify the number of suppliers in the Australian market

• Identify suppliers who can meet Austin Health requirements

• Identify suppliers who have demonstrable experience in the Health Sector.

Following the evaluation of the PQQ submissions, suitable suppliers may be shortlisted and invited to respond to a Request for Quote (RFQ).
