Tender Description
As part of the Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program, National Reach and Priority Projects (NRPP) is available for tender application now to achieve better health outcomes for Indigenous people in the following 5 areas:
· two thematic areas of
(1) expanding the reach of the TIS program, to increases exposure of First Nations peoples to smoke-free and vape-free messaging and/or activities and/or
(2) increasing the focus on preventative population health activities, to support the development, promotion and/or implementation of smoking- and vaping prevention resources and/or activities across multiple regions, and/or
· three priority groups
(3) young Indigenous people (youth) to support and improve their understanding of the harms of vaping and smoking, to prevent and reduce uptake across populations in multiple geographies and/or
(4) communities in remote and very remote Australia and/or
(5) Indigenous pregnant women, their families and women of childbearing age.
A total fund of over $8 million will be available for projects. The successful projects will:
· showcase an ability to increase the Tackling Indigenous Smoking program’s reach (learn more about Tackling Indigenous Smoking at tacklingsmoking.org.au)
· address the 5 NRPP areas above
· complement, or avoid duplication of, other elements of the national TIS program.
