Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Review and Uplift

⁠⁠⁠The MDBA seeks to engage consulting services to support the agency’s business continuity planning, testing, and ICT disaster recovery initiatives.

The provider will be expected to work closely with business and technical owners and deliver:

• Business Continuity Plan update
• Business Impact Assessments/Analysis update
• Business Continuity Test Plan
• Disaster Recovery Plan update
• Critical Systems Assurance Check
• Disaster Recovery Test Plan

These artifacts are expected to be delivered and approved by MDBA before March 2024.

To successfully deliver, we are seeking personnel with the following skills:  

• Strong experience in business continuity planning and ICT disaster recovery
• Excellent written skills 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills 
• Strong risk management experience
• Research, analysis, and exploration skills
• Sound ICT experience and knowledge 

Working with the Risk, Governance and Audit and ICT teams, the provider will: 

• Produce high quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for intended audience. 
• Interpret risk and ICT technical documentation, such as policies, guidelines, process flows and system specifications. 
• Update and translate existing internal technical documents to ensure maximum efficiency and proficiency. 
• Conduct business continuity workshops with business and technical owners covering people, process, and system continuity risks.
• Survey business and technical owners on the current level of disaster and recovery upkeep of key business critical systems.
• Provide guidance and documentation on appropriate ICT disaster recovery testing processes, procedures, and outcomes.

The respondent must provide a schedule of delivery breakdown and rate card for nominated personnel.

The respondents nominated personnel is expected to hold Baseline clearances and have completed police checks within the last three months.

Working Arrangements: Onsite two or more days a week
