Tender Description
The Department is responsible for managing public land in Victoria, covering approximately 8 million hectares in area, which is approximately one third of the State. Victoria’s public land is made up of over 110,000 parcels which form parks, reserves and areas of State Forest. This includes around 1,500 Crown land reserves (also referred to as public land reserves) which are managed by committees of management or incorporated organisations.
The Department is seeking submissions to this Invitation for Expressions of Interest for a future land manager for the Winton Wetlands (the Site) Crown land reserve.
The Site is reserved for the purpose of Public Purposes (Restoration of wetlands, Recreation and Tourism).
The Department is seeking to appoint an appropriate land manager (single incorporated entity or consortia) to manage the Site.
