ASIC is seeking to establish a new panel of registered liquidators who are prepared to accept appointments as reviewing liquidators under section 90-23 of Schedule 2 of the Corporations Act 2001 (Act).
This grant opportunity is part of the Asset less Administration Fund (AAF) grant program which contributes to ASIC’s outcomes of promoting market confidence and integrity in the corporate insolvency regime and combating illegal phoenix activities and serious misconduct.
Eligibility:
- Be a registered liquidator under Part 2 of Schedule 2 of the Corporations Act for at least ten years;
- have an Australian Business Number (ABN);
- be a permanent resident of Australia;
- have no less than 10 external administration appointments (which includes ongoing and new appointments) in the preceding two years (excluding receiverships and Deeds of Company Arrangements (DOCA);
- have been appointed to at least three external administration appointments in the preceding two years (excluding receiverships and DOCAs);
- have an acceptable risk profile to be included as a member on the Reviewing Liquidator Panel upon ASIC undertaking due diligence checks about the applicant and his or her application, including consideration of surveillance/investigation activities or recorded disciplinary action against the applicant, or the applicant’s finance accounts held with ASIC.
Grant Activity Timeframe: The Reviewing Liquidator Panel needs to be in place from 1 July 2024.
Estimated Grant Value (AUD): From $20,000.00 to $100,000.00
