Country Fire Authority (CFA) is intending to release an open tender to construct alterations and additions to Hamilton Fire Station, located at 100-104 Cox Street, Hamilton, VIC 3300

The works to the existing Fire Station building will consist of the following:

Refurbishment of the amenities wing to provide:

• 3 new toilets
• Kitchen replacement
• Office areas
• Workshop and store

Modifications to Motor Room:

• 1.5m long extension of Bay 1,
• Replacement of 2 rear bifold doors with roller doors,

Construction of new extension to accommodate:

• Turnout Room i.e., change room area(s),

External site works consisting of:

• Diversion of sewer across site
• Extension of concrete paved carpark,
• Replacement of front fencing, gates and landscaping

Construction works are expected to commence in April / May 2024 and to be completed by August / September 2024.

The works must comply with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and Industrial Relations Management which are mandatory requirements. Applicable Government policies affecting the procurement include:

• Directions and instructions for Public Construction Procurement, and
• Social Procurement Policy.
