Box Hill Institute (BHI) is registered to deliver professional education services across the secondary, vocational education and training (VET) and higher education sectors. Primarily servicing students from metropolitan Melbourne, BHI also delivers education and training across 10 other countries and offers a diverse range of courses that include short courses, certifications, diplomas, degrees and post graduate courses that are recognised in Australia and overseas.

BHI has three campuses in Melbourne, these being Box Hill, Lilydale and Melbourne CBD. BHI also delivers training and education services into many other workplace locations and organisations via a range of commercial contracts.

BHI offers café and catering services at three BHI sites, namely Elgar, Nelson, and Lilydale. The cafés are at the heart of each campus, with indoor and outdoor seating.

Our ambition is to create an attractive and sociable gathering place for our community. BHI's objective is to deliver a superior student, staff and community experience by providing quality café and catering services.

It is intended that the cafés will operate a minimum of 5 days a week (Monday to Friday – 8.00 am to 4.00 pm) and a Licence Agreement will be offered for a term of 2 years (weeks per annum to be negotiated with the successful provider). Options for weekend and after hour’s service provision are also being sought.

The successful operator will be responsible for providing the food and beverage options to students, employees and visitors to the campuses. Part of this opportunity includes providing catering services for on-campus meetings, workshops (at all sites) and conferencing (at Lilydale), ranging in a variety of food options and service times. This is an important piece of the operations as it provides support to both internal and external stakeholders.
