Venue Management Event Cleaning Services

⁠⁠⁠The Council of the City of Sydney ("Council") invites tenders for the carrying out of event cleaning services for the City of Sydney Venues in accordance with this Request for Tender.

Tender Objectives

The Council's Tender Objectives are stated as:

- Engage a cleaning contractor to maintain the look and appearance of the City's venues, contributing to their reputation as high-quality buildings and spaces for hire, meeting customer expectations, and assisting in achieving the overall vision of the venue.

- Engage a cleaning contractor who possesses the capacity and capability to meet fluctuating demand and volume of cleaning, and is able to deliver the services at the times and within the timeframes required.

- Engage a cleaning contractor to provide a cost effective and efficient cleaning service to each venue.

Council's Venue Management Unit is responsible for managing the cleaning services of high-profile community venues, including:

- Sydney Town Hall - Centennial Hall & Vestibule, Lower Town Hall and ancillary spaces

- Customs House - Barnet Long Room

- Paddington Town Hall - Stapleton Hall

Delivery of Services

The successful tenderer will be delivering a high standard of cleaning services, including:

- Vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, wiping, scrubbing, buffing, polishing, stain removal, and tidying of all areas of the venue including walls, floors / carpets, stairs, balustrades, windows, doors, glass surfaces, corridors and bathrooms.

- Provide routine pre and post event cleaning to the City's Landmark Venues both front and back of house.

- Provide front of house cleaning services during events to ensure the venue appearance is maintained to a high standard throughout, including eliminating spills, removing waste and debris, cleaning mess and ensuring that bathrooms are stocked and hygienic.

- Provide scheduled and ad-hoc deep cleaning services including (but not limited to) steam-cleaning, dry-cleaning of carpets and upholstery, the scrubbing of bathrooms, and invasive or high-intensity cleaning.

- Remove waste from the venue's front and back of house areas.

A Site Visit is scheduled for Monday, December 4th, 3:30pm - 5:00pm

The site visit will encompass visiting Centennial Hall and Sydney Town Hall. Site visits to Paddington Town Hall and the Barnet Long Room, Customs House can be scheduled by request. Due to logistics, site inspections for all three locations may occur on separate days. If you do wish to visit Paddington Town Hall or the Barnet Long Room, please note that the final opportunities for visits will be during the week starting Monday, December 4th, 2023, and no later than Friday, December 8th.
