Tender Description
An experienced campground operator with the necessary experience and resources to efficiently and effectively manage the operations and activities of Waikuku Beach Camp Ground (“the Camp”) on a long term basis from July 2024, while maximising the ‘value’ equation for the Camp, Waimakariri District Council (“Council”) and the community. This will include:
• Entering into a long term lease with Council for the Lease Land.
• Purchasing the Existing Improvements situated on the Lease Land which are used in the operation of the Camp and are currently owned by Council.
• Redeveloping the Camp to meet current and future customer expectations.
• Addressing the current operational issues of the Camp which are referred to in the RFP.
• Providing an appropriate economic return for the Camp and Council.
• Providing cultural and social, community, economic and environmental benefits for Waikuku Beach and the Waimakariri District.
Council is open to alternative innovative suggestions to our proposed approach where there is added value to Council and the community.
