Lift / Escalator Upgrade - Kings Cross Library, Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, Railway Sq

⁠⁠⁠The City of Sydney invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of the role of Principal Contractor for the Lift / Escalator Upgrade at Kings Cross Library, Andrew Boy Charlton Pool and Railway Square in accordance with this request.

The Principal Contractor will be responsible to undertake all the required vertical transportation and services designs and construction to upgrade or replace the existing passenger lifts and escalators in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) / National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant Standards and Code requirements. In summary, the design and construction services include (but are not limited to):

Upgrade and or replace all lifts, and escalators in accordance with the vertical transportation specification, interior finishes and provide the essential electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, fire and security services.

Issue a Statement of Compliance confirming all installed equipment, plant testing and commissioning has been completed in accordance with all specification and drawings.

Undertake all the necessary HAZMAT works (assessment and removal) to dispose of the contaminated materials related to the works to achieve the required Clearance Certificate.

Undertake all the required structural inspections, remediation and issue the structural clearance certifications in accordance with the vertical transportation specifications.
