This Tender is invited by the Issuer.

The National Museum of Australia (NMA) is undertaking the implementation of its Collections Activation and Experience Uplift (CAEU) program to build a world leading digital museum. To support this work, The NMA IT team will be initiating a three-to-five-year program of work expected to build Museum capability by introducing new technologies for multiple business areas. Critical Museum outcomes include:

  • Supporting the development of new audience experiences (including CRM and Content Management System expansion and modernisation)
  • Increasing digital accessibility to the Collection (through both digitisation and data mobility)
  • Developing a Business Orchestration Platform (including API development, PaaS, and serverless architecture)
  • Optimise digital delivery pipelines (Experience Delivery)
  • Data strategy, discovery and modelling

NMA is seeking a technology design and implementation Managed Service Provider partnership to support the CAEU program to modernise Museum capabilities. The successful seller(s) will provide flexible and scalable technical design support, with consideration for IT Security compliance against various government frameworks, for (but not limited to):

  • Enterprise Architecture
  • Solutions Architecture
  • Requirements Gathering
  • Technology Implementation
  • Integration Architecture
  • Data and Digital Asset Migration
  • API management
  • Collections Data rationalisation, including structure and access analysis, and development of data model and sequencing, to be delivered in line with the NMA Data Strategy objectives and outcomes.

These services may be required for designing, implementing or integrating with the following systems over the course of the program:

  • Trusted Digital Repository
  • CRM
  • API Gateway
  • Digital Asset Management System
  • Web Content Management System
  • DevOps platform
  • Collections Management System

A Data Strategy and subsequent data modelling and analysis will also be required to allow the Museum to maximise the value of the data it holds. Primary data sources will be the CRM and Collections Management System.

NMA is seeking a supplier (or multiple suppliers) to engage for the life of the project on a time & materials basis to integrate into the program and support design and delivery of the underlying technology layer on an as-required basis.

Sellers should supply a rate card for the provision of resources to assist the Museum in delivering the CAEU program.
