Artist Services – Star Road Bridge, Bright, Platypus Mural

⁠⁠⁠Scope of works:

• The overall project is to be completed by 30 June 2024.

• Design a mural with a theme of platypus conservation, awareness and/or protection from litter that complements the environment along the upper Ovens River. The mural can contain text or be accompanied by a sign explaining its purpose and significance.

• Involve local young people in the design, site preparation and/or installation of the mural; the extent of this involvement is flexible and negotiable. Inclusion of this element in the proposal is critical.

• Sizing of the mural to be determined in consultation with the artist and Council.

• Mural concept will be approved by Council prior to installation.

• Prepare the site for the mural to be applied directly to the surface.

• Paint mural directly onto the Star Road Bridge.

• A non-sacrificial graffiti protective coating must be applied to the mural.

• Optional inclusion of site preparation, surface cleaning, safety scaffolding/working platform provision, etc.
