As a Member of the Subcommittee, the following commitment is required:

  • Attending at least 4 Subcommittee meetings a year, one of which will be conducted face-to-face at the RACP Sydney Office. The meetings generally run for approximately 5 hours in total with the first 2 hours allocated for decisions regarding Joint Training Provider accreditation, in collaboration with the Basic Training Adult Internal Medicine Division.
  • Reading time for agenda’s and papers, delivered approximately 1 week before each Subcommittee meeting.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to support the rollout and implementation of the new accreditation program and accreditation of training settings and its Pediatrics & Child Health Basic Training Program.
  • Contributing to accreditation reviews by attending site visits (physically/virtually) as an accreditor, completing progress report reviews and document reviews of settings and their Basic Training Pediatrics & Child Health program.
  • Contributing to joint discussion and decision-making on the accreditation of training settings which offer Adult Internal Medicine and Pediatrics & Child Health Basic Training Programs.
  • Liaise with and be assisted by the Training Accreditation Services team in completing accreditation related activities.

Members are appointed for an initial 3-year term with the option to renew for another 3-year term.

The role of Subcommittee members is voluntary. To support and thank you for your contributions towards accreditation, you will receive CPD points for completed activities.
