Kingborough Council are seeking submissions to prepare a Master Plan for Margate’s Main Street.
There has been ongoing community concern about the condition and safety of the Margate main street, including lack of safe pedestrian crossing points and walkability issues, queues of traffic, and a generally unpleasant streetscape and environment.
The project delivery will include research and review including site inspections, consultation and stakeholder engagement, and the development of a master plan.
The master plan will include research review, data analysis and discussion. A stakeholder and engagement report. Infrastructure recommendations and a practical action plan and implementation steps over a 10-year range.
Council would like the Master Plan to be completed by no later than 31 May 2024.
