This Tender is invited by the Issuer.
The Agency’s Medicines Safety Program is seeking to procure a suitably experienced service provider to develop and deliver the new iteration of the Agency’s EP Solution Architecture and to support the development of the new modular Conformance Profiles in an advisory capacity.
The electronic prescribing Solution Architecture v4.0 will:
- serve as the reference document to assist the Agency to develop the new version of the EP Conformance Profile(s)
- describe the future EP ecosystem components, technologies and processes to achieve the modernised National EP Technical framework.
- provide a blueprint to software developers to guide the development, implementation and maintenance of EP solutions (for essential detailed requirements refer to Appendix A)
To assist in the co-development of the EP Solution Architecture and modernised Conformance Profiles, the service provider will be required to:
- attend consultations workshops.
- proactively contribute to the National EP Technical Working Group sessions
- provide exceptional expert guidance to support the development of the new Conformance Profiles
- contribute to consultation approaches to ensure target timelines for consultation activities are met under the governance structure and framework established by the Agency.
- review and analyse stakeholder feedback to ascertain and incorporate into the development of the EP Solution Architecture and the new conformance profiles.
Background
The Electronic Prescriptions Information Technology Requirements Instrument 2019 (the Instrument) made by the delegate of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Aged Care, under section 12 of the National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits) Regulations 2017 (Cwlth), confer the power to the Agency to maintain the Electronic Prescribing Conformance Scheme (also known as the CAS).
Deliverables
- Project plan for delivery of EP Solution Architecture - 2 weeks from execution of contract
- Develop gap analysis for current EP Solution Architecture and proposed recommendations - 4 weeks from execution of contract.
- Develop the Architecture Context and Use cases for the revised EP Solution Architecture - 10 weeks from execution of contract.
- EP Solution Architecture v4.0 – Draft for review - 16 weeks from execution of contract
- EP Solution Architecture v4.0– Final draft for review - 6 months from execution of contract
- EP Solution Architecture – final for approval - 7 months from execution of contract
- Project closure report - 8 months from execution of contract
