Grampians Health (GH) has a contract for the supply of oxygen equipment and consumables for consumers of the State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP). SWEP administers the Victorian Aids & Equipment Program on behalf of the Victorian Government, Department of Health. The Domiciliary Oxygen Program (DOP) - provides subsidized funding for oxygen therapy for Victorians assessed as requiring oxygen therapy to remain at home and participate in their communities. Further information about eligibility and program guidelines are outlined in the Victorian Aids and Equipment Program Guidelines (Attachment 3).

The program currently supports approximately 3,000 – 3,500 existing and new consumers per month across Victoria.

The services include supply/refills of oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators (stationary and portable) and associated equipment – flow regulators, face masks, canulae, tubing, trolleys, etc. The items are delivered to each consumers home to an agreed, individual schedule each month, but are owned and maintained by the supplier.

Going out to tender will allow for recent technological, clinical and regulatory developments to be incorporated, driving service improvement, value for money and better outcomes for consumers.
