Road Maintenance in the APY Lands

⁠⁠⁠The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) invites companies (Tenderers) to submit a tender for Contract No. 22C232, Provision of Road Maintenance in the APY Lands.

There is an ongoing requirement for the maintenance of 1200 kilometers of unsealed road network within the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands on behalf of the APY Executive Board. Works typically include dry road maintenance grading, drain clearing and batter grading to ensure the network is safe and operational for all road users. There is a further 50 kilometers of sealed roads and over 120 sealed floodways and water crossings.

The Department seeks to engage a suitably experienced Contractor, with the appropriate capability and capacity to undertake dry maintenance grading and other road related maintenance in the APY Lands. The Contractor will also regularly inspect the 1250 kilometre network to keep the Department informed of network condition to provide input into the planning of road maintenance and/or improvement works.

PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

At a minimum, Tenderers must be prequalified with the Department under the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction, in the following categories:

• R1 (Roadworks)
• F1 (Financial)

A briefing session will be held at Department for Infrastructure and Transport, 83 Pirie Street, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia, 5000 on 10:00 am 4 October 2023.
