Call Out to Artists for Creative Kids Holiday Activities for 2024

⁠⁠⁠Council invites suitability experienced artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for programs that offer creative and entertaining experiences for children aged four to 14 years during the April, June/July and September 2024 school holidays.

Creative Kids is a school holiday program that seeks to provide quality arts-based activities to school aged children. Up to three days of activities can be programmed during terms 2, 3 and 4 of the 2024 school holidays.

The proposed theme is around understanding recovery and resilience through art. We are looking for ideas from local artists that are fresh, meaningful, and suitable for a younger audience that will foster a deeper understanding of recovery and resilience through art. Through the workshops, children will be able to unleash their creative energy, and work alongside professional artists and educators to express themselves.

We are looking for innovative ideas that are fresh and inventive that will engage kids in a fun and educational way.

The allocated payment of $3,000 can be used on one project, or a number of smaller activities, over the three-day period.

Selection will be based on concept originality and the meaningful engagement of children in arts experiences.

Expressions of Interest: The EOI form will be available here from 10 AM on Monday 2 October 2023.

At this stage, only preliminary concept proposals are required by 5 PM on Monday 30 October 2023.
