The Opportunity
Tropical Cyclone Yasa impacted Fiji in December 2020 and caused widespread damage to the northern island of Taveuni and the southern island of Kadavu. The Government of Australia (GoA), represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), has provided the Government of Fiji (GoF), represented by the Ministry of Health & Medical Services (MHMS), with emergency funding to support cyclone recovery and reconstruction for the Hospital by the Cyclone Recovery Program (the Program). The Program will manage and implement the reconstruction of the two Hospitals in the islands of Taveuni and Kadavu, in coordination with the Ministry of Health & Medical Services (MHMS).
The Services
The Facility seeks interest from locally registered contractor’s (Service Providers) to provide construction services for the Program. The services will include the construction of a new hospital extension, toilets and sewerage systems, water supply and solar power systems with associated infrastructure. The works will include both the construction of new buildings, remediation of existing buildings and the construction of new site infrastructure.
