Shoalhaven City Council (Council) invites tenders for the carrying out of the St Georges Basin Floodplain Risk Management Study & Plan (FRMS&P) in accordance with this Request for Tender (RFQ).
Council has received financial support from the State Floodplain Management Program, managed by the Department of Planning and Environment (DPE), to undertake a Floodplain Risk Management Study & Plan for the St Georges Basin catchment.
Council is seeking a consultant to undertake the St Georges Basin Floodplain Risk Management Study and Plan located in the Shoalhaven. The successful consultant will be required to undertake detailed flood modelling of the catchment as well as undertake floodplain risk management options assessment and consultation in accordance with the NSW Flood Risk Management Manual (2023), Australian Rainfall & Runoff: A Guide to Flood Estimation 2019, and industry best practice. The objective of this study is to improve understanding of flood behaviour and impacts, and better inform management of flood risk in the study area in consideration of the available information, and relevant standards and guidelines.
