Tender Description
The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to create a shortlist of suitably qualified and experienced Contractors for the Construction of Ivanhoe East Streetscape works.
The proposed works are to improve the everyday functionality of the space, create more pedestrian character, as well as establishing an urban aesthetics and identity of a vibrant activity Centre.
The purpose of this project is to improve accessibility across the activity centre and maximise the amount of space available to public realm.
This project will include:
• Retain two-way traffic;
• Upgrade existing pedestrian crossings to raised crossings and improve general layout of crossings;
• Install a kerb outstand to Wilfred Road and Burton Crescent;
• Install a pedestrian refuge at Warncliffe Road;
• New kerb alignment and levels in Wilfred Road;
• New kerb levels and where achievable, improve pavement levels and cross-grades;
• Install public lighting;
• Upgrade of carpark on east side of Burton Crescent;
• Install public seating and landscaping in Burton Crescent (west side); and
• Installation of new street trees, furniture, and landscaping.
Contractors must be able to demonstrate experience in similar types and size projects and demonstrate successful completion of these types of projects.
