Tender Description
Development Victoria is the developer of “LUMA”, a residential development project situated in Melbourne’s west in the suburb of Sunshine North.
Development Victoria intends to engage a building contractor to deliver the residential building works for stage 2 of the development. Works will include the design and construction of 85 architecturally designed townhouses.
Development Victoria will be releasing a Request for Proposal (RFP) via a Selective Tender that seeks responses from contractors experienced in the design and construction of medium-density dwellings.
The successful bidder will be required to attend a series of early engagement workshops prior to being engaged under a modified AS4300 contract, a copy of which will be provided as part of the documentation issued during the RFP.
Bidders must:
- Be able to demonstrate recent (within the last 5 years) experience in the successful completion of architecturally designed townhouses in Victoria where the contractor has also been responsible for the management of design drawings from planning approval through to construction documentation.
- Be prequalified on the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Construction Supplier Register (CSR) under the ‘New Residential Construction’ category.
- Have strong, demonstrable experience in the active management and handling of consumer and community engagement during the construction works.
Notice of the RFP and all associated RFP documents will be issued to selected bidders via the Buying for Victoria Supplier Portal. Contractors may register their interest via email to the proposal manager if they want to be considered to participate in the tender.
The RFP is anticipated to be released in early September via the Buying for Victoria portal, and the closing date will be approximately 4 weeks from the date of release. The works are expected to commence in Q2 2024 at the completion of civil works which are currently underway.
