ABOUT THE TENDER
JBI is a leading international research unit based within the University of Adelaide that promotes and supports the sustainability of improved healthcare practice and health outcomes globally. This is achieved through the development and delivery of evidence-based information, software, education, and training to provide healthcare practitioners with access to the best available evidence to inform decision-making at the point of care.
JBI has successfully translated and commercialised its research outputs through the ongoing development and licensing of a suite of resources ('JBI Resources').
JBI has an exclusive publishing and distribution arrangement ('Research Translation Agreement' (RTA)) with a leading international publisher of resources for healthcare professionals, Wolters Kluwer Health Inc (WKH). This commercial arrangement commenced in 2010 under an exclusive partnership arrangement and was extended for a further 5 years in 2020, with the current scheduled to expire on 1 January 2025.
The purpose of this Request for Proposal process is to seek proposals from potential publishers/ distributors of resources for healthcare professionals, researchers, and students in relation to the aforementioned JBI Resources for which JBI (the University of Adelaide) owns all rights, titles, and interests.
Suppliers should note that JBI seeks participation in this process by Suppliers with the following:
- an excellent reputation with both customers and content producers, and a proven track record of effectively marketing and distributing high-quality content to a global audience.
- seeking a partnership with an organisation with the demonstrated capacity, capability, resources, and marketing and distribution networks to deliver the required services
- to partner with publisher(s)/ distributor(s) who can market and deliver content to health practitioners, researchers, and students in an effective way. Suppliers should be able to demonstrate their ability to sell, market and distribute content through an interactive customer-facing website and platforms that enable customers to easily order, pay for, access and use content
