Expressions of Interest are open for Advanced Trainees in Rheumatology to join the Advanced Training Committee (ATC) in Rheumatology.
The ATC oversees the Advanced Training program in Rheumatology in the Adult Medicine and Paediatric Divisions. The key responsibilities of this Committee include:
- assessment of Advanced Training in Rheumatology, including approval and certification of training, review of training progress and requirements, and advise on rheumatology training matters.
- review of training sites for Advanced Training in Rheumatology
- review and development Rheumatology training program requirements
- review of the Advanced Training Curriculum in Rheumatology when required.
Key responsibilities:
- facilitating communication between the ATC and Advanced Trainees in Rheumatology
- advising the ATC on training matters in line with relevant College education policies and guidelines
Members are appointed to the ATC for a 3-year term and can be renewed for a further 3-year term or until the Advanced Trainee becomes eligible for Fellowship.
The Committee holds 1 face-to-face meetings in Sydney and 1 further video conference a year. Additional meetings are organised in exceptional circumstances.
