Annual Testing of Backflow Prevention Devices

⁠⁠⁠The installation of backflow prevention devices and their connection to potable water supply is critical for the prevention of cross contamination and the general health of the Indigo Shire population. Failure or incorrect connection to a potable water supply has the potential to affect a large portion of the Indigo Shire Population. All backflow prevention device installations must be to the required standard in order to maintain a clean and healthy drinking water supply.

Indigo Shire Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced plumber to inspect each device and record its’ compliance status on an annual basis for a 3-year term.
