The City of Greater Bendigo invites applications from suitably qualified persons to join its Audit and Risk Committee as an independent member.

The Audit and Risk Committee is an advisory committee to the Council that plays an important role in providing oversight of the City of Greater Bendigo's financial and performance reporting, risk management, compliance with legislation, and internal and external audit functions. The terms of reference of this committee are outlined in the City of Greater Bendigo's Audit and Risk Committee Charter.

Committee membership comprises of the Mayor, two other Councillors, plus four independent members, one of whom is appointed by the Council as the Chair of the Committee. External members of the committee must collectively have experience in financial and risk management and experience in public sector management.

All Committee members are expected to acknowledge and comply with the Council's Code of Conduct.
