Tender Details
Tender Description
Horticulture Innovation Australia (Hort Innovation) is a not-for-profit, grower-owned Research and Development Corporation (RDC) for Australia’s $14.4 billion horticulture industry. Hort Innovation invests around $110 million in research and development (R&D) and marketing programs annually to provide benefits to the industry and the wider community.
We are seeking a suitably experienced and qualified service provider to undertake the project BA23000, Biosecurity, and Sustainability in the banana industry project.
Whilst current biosecurity and sustainability challenges remain for the industry, several are on the horizon, such as managing carbon for example. The Australian banana industry believes it is a priority to be prepared and resilient. Able to respond to threats and demonstrate its environmental responsibility.
This investment will support the Australian banana industry to:
• strengthen biosecurity and sustainability leadership in current and emergent priority areas
• maintain and develop strategic networks and collaborative initiatives across relevant biosecurity and environmental sustainability stakeholder groups and
• develop and maintain conditions that optimise growers’ ability to make positive changes in the areas of sustainable production and biosecurity preparedness.
Hort Innovation has prepared a Request for Proposal (RFP) document that provides background information, outlines the scope of services, the procurement process, and the information required from interested parties.
