Request for Quotation - Internal Audit Services

⁠⁠⁠Narromine Shire Council is inviting quotations from suitably qualified service providers to provide internal audit services to Council in accordance with Council’s Four Year Strategic Internal Audit Plan.

Narromine Shire

Narromine Shire is located 40 km west of Dubbo, in the Orana region of NSW. Covering an area of 5224 square kms, the Shire includes the rural centres of Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley. The Shire has a population of close to 6,500 and its main industries are agriculture and mining.

Narromine Shire Council provides a range of services to its community, with assets valued at $400 million including roads, water and sewer infrastructure, footpaths, community amenities such as libraries, parks and playgrounds and sporting and recreation facilities.

Requirements/Description of the Services

The selected service provider shall provide auditing services in accordance Council’s Four Year Strategic Internal Audit Plan. Internal Audits shall conform with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (2017) and Council’s Internal Audit Charter.

Information to be Provided.

• Quotations shall include the following as a minimum
• Fee proposal for the execution of the Internal Audit Plan
• Fee proposal for the completion of each of the first-year audits individually
• Include hourly rates for the completion of internal audit services, with an estimate of hours requested for each audit area
• Any cost savings that could be achieved with the combining of audits.
• Details of experience in delivering internal audit services across a diverse range of areas
• Details of personnel who would be delivering the service, including relevant experience, qualifications and professional affiliations. This should include the availability of the proposed personnel to complete the audit program.
•  A list of previous services provided for other organisations, listing at least two references and contact telephone number.
• Prices should be exclusive of GST and be all-inclusive of the services requested (e.g., no extra charges such as travel, accommodation etc.).

The following criteria will be used to identify and select the service provider that best meets the objectives for the services required.

• Previous experience and reliability in providing this type of service
• Value
• Current availability, suitability and experience of personnel
