Albury City Council is currently planning the construction of the next waste cell at the Albury Waste Management Centre (AWMC), which is anticipated to commence construction in early 2024.
The Northern Valley Cell 3 project will be procured through a separate Request for Tender (RFT) process later this year, following the completion of the design phase. The intent of this Request For Information (RFI) is to then inform the RFT phase of the project the nominated disposal site/s for the excavated material.
Based on the current design of the Northern Valley Cell 3 project, it is estimated that approximately 240,000m3 (bank) of excavation will be required to achieve the design subgrade levels. Due to the significant volume of material expected to be generated through this project.
