Quotation Contract 2023-24/03 Construction of Caloola Road Realignment Works and Creek Crossing, Narrabri Shire Council requires a suitable contractor for the realignment of Caloola Road, Narrabri NSW 2390
The realignment consists of three discrete sections of Caloola Road and the establishment of a replacement Creek crossing
Section 1 - 140m x7m approx.
Section 2A - 340m x variable 7m to 21m approx.
Section 2B - 75m x 5m approx. (Creek Crossing)
Section 3 - 100m x 7m approx.
Provisional Items - Length of Works approx. 2000m
Each will require the following (full description of each section - Request for Tender Documents)
Clearing of existing trees and vegetation along new road alignment
Shredding and grinding of cleared timber and vegetation to produce a raw mulch product, including transportation;
Removal of excavated surface soils to Tullamullen Quarry
Formation of rudimentary road surface suitable for dry weather access and free of cleared vegetation or residual root material;
Spreading of retained mulch material.
2B - Excavation of approaches for replacement little Sandy creek crossing to 5.0m width
Excavation of creek crossing base / subgrade within the creek bed to 1.0m depth or until competent rock exposed
Import of gabion rock to backfill creek base
Placement and compaction
Length of Works - Provisional allowance for the initial backfilling and repair of existing scouring and washouts with a select fill type gravel material within Caloola Road.
This is a Quality Assured Contract with method of payment being by Lump Sum. The General Conditions of Contract are AS4000-1997
The Contract is to be completed within ten (10) weeks of the acceptance of the tender.
