Remote Area Energy Supply (RAES) ICT RFI

⁠⁠⁠Department for Energy and Mining (DEM) is seeking information regarding all facets of Remote Area Energy Supply (RAES) ICT, looking to the future microgrid flexibility requirements for central power station renewables, electric vehicle charging, and Distributed Energy Resources (DER).

This Request for Information is an information-gathering process in which DEM seeks to collect information and opinions from software and hardware suppliers and systems integrators.

This Request for Information and the responses provided may be used as a precursor to a procurement process.

Insights may relate to a range of issues such as:

• Remote Isolated electricity generation and distribution systems
• Distributed Energy Resources (DER)
• Electric Vehicle charging
• Software and hardware automation and machine learning
• Smart Asset Management
