Council is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced company/companies to provide wet hire of two Vacuum Excavation Combination Trucks for an initial 12-month contract term with 2 x 12-month contract extension options. The extensions will be offered on the basis of the awarded contractor/s performance during the contract period and solely at the discretion of the Principal.
The intention is for Council to wet hire two suitably sized Combination Trucks with single operators (with suitable backup arrangements) that will be dedicated 24/7 to Tweed Shire Council and physically based within Tweed Shire Council. The truck would be used at the sole discretion of Tweed Shire Council for routine maintenance, locations, trouble shooting and repairs during weekly work hours.
This will be done under the supervision of a single Council representative. Tweed Shire will make available any additional personnel required to assist the operation of the vacuum excavation combination trucks or the site tasks being performed. The vehicle and operator will be expected to be dedicated on an after-hours list as the first point of call for this type of vehicle as required by Council staff.
Although overtime is a requirement of the work, there is no guarantee of any set quantity of this work. Bidders may be awarded the hire of one or both of the scheduled vehicles. For the purposes of the Contract Vehicle 1 has been nominated as Separable Portion A and Vehicle 2 has been nominated as Separable Portion B.
