Tender Description
This is an Invitation to Register Interest for the Design Services package of works (DSC-1 2021) under Defence capital infrastructure project EST05837.
The EST05837 project will deliver the infrastructure solutions required in the form of Capital Build Facilities and Training Areas to support the Royal Australian Navy SEA1905 Maritime Mine Countermeasures and Miltary Survey Capability Project. The infrastructure being delivered by EST05837 will be in the form of maritime structures, operational support facilities, training facilities, domestic support facilities required for Tranche 1 of the capability project, which will be delivered nationally across Australia.
Applicants are advised that the procurement strategy for the delivery of these facilities involves the engagement of a Design Services Contractor to assume the Lead Design role to develop, coordinate and document the 100% Design of Capital Build Facilities and Training Areas for EST05837.
With the Master Plan and Feasibility Review 5% Design Report completed in Quarter 4 2022, the Design Services Contractor will develop Design Reports and documentation for all required facilities under the following Planning Phase milestones:
Functional Design Brief
30% Concept Design Report
50% Schematic Design Report *subject to funding
90% Detailed Design Report *subject to funding
100% Final Design Report *subject to funding
This is the first stage of a two-stage selection process. Applicants will be requested to demonstrate experience and ability to design and document facilities on large scale infrastructure projects. Additionally, applicants will be requested to demonstrate that they have resources and capacity to perform the services to meet its obligation under the Contract.
Further details will be provided to short listed Applicants in the Request for Tender, which is expected to be released in Quarter 3 2023.
