Provision of Casual Hospitality Services for Global Victoria Venues

The Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (the Department) is firmly focused on driving a strong and resilient economy that benefits all Victorians. This is delivered by creating more opportunities for people through jobs and skills, supporting businesses and industries to grow and prosper, and building vibrant communities and regions.

Within the Department, Global Victoria is the State Government of Victoria’s trade facilitation agency. The group primarily utilises two venues: Investment Centre Victoria (ICV) – Level 46, 55 Collins Street and The International Chamber House (ICH) / Conference Centre (CCL5) - Level 5, 121 Exhibition Street. These venues provide a hosting space that highlights the Government's commitment to supporting international business, trade and export facilitation and the generation of foreign direct investment for the State.

As official function venues of the State, both the ICV and ICH/CCL5 are high quality meeting and function facilities that are predominantly used to profile Victoria’s major competitive advantages as an international investment location. Both venues are extensively utilised for important Government functions, which are attended by Victorian Cabinet Ministers, visiting international dignitaries and Australian industry leaders. The ICV is primarily used where a cabinet minister or a senior Government representative is hosting the event and is utilised by all Government Departments.

Global Victoria requires a suitably qualified service provider to deliver professional hospitality staffing services, for all events held at the ICV, the ICH/CCL5 and other various venues as required on an ad hoc/as required basis.

The services required for these venues include:

• Organising, supervising, and maintaining appropriate hospitality service staffing.
• Providing Casual Hospitality services as directed, including two (2) full time venue supervisors for 38 hours each per week (one per venue).
• Providing management services relevant to the provision of the services, such as financial management, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) management, personnel management, and training and competency management.
• Maintenance of the appropriate Licenses as required to deliver the Services.
• Managing the Department’s inventory of consumables, beverages, and equipment at both venues.
• Providing reliable and consistent Front of House services at both venues.
