Tender Description

Scope of works includes, but not limited to the following.

4m High Gabion Basket Wall

- Locate and reinstate upper existing 100mm diameter drainage pipe.

- Locate and reinstate bottom existing 100mm diameter drainage pipe.

- Supply and install geotextile to drainage trench.

- Stage 1 - The top 1m layer be dismantled and removed (existing rock to be safely stockpiled for reuse on site) Batter above wall to be flattened to maximum 45 degrees

- Stage 2 - The second 1m layer to be dismantled and removed (existing rock to be safely stockpiled for reuse on site) Batter above wall to be flattened to maximum 45 degrees. Use non-destructive digging (Vacuum truck) to remove material from behind the two gabions.

- Stage 3 - Realign the 2m high section by pushing with an excavator to achieve a 5-degree setback angle into the cut batter (as per original) drawings. Remove excess material from the cut batter maintaining the maximum batter angle 45 degrees.

- Stage 4 - Construct a new 1m wide x 2m high gabion wall in front of the bottom 2 layers which were straightened to the required setback angle.

- Stage 5 - Reconstruct the top two layers of the Gabions to the required setback angle and staggered as shown. Reinstate the batter with 40mm class 4 crushed rock.

3m High Gabion Basket Wall

- Replace the upper existing 100mm diameter drainage pipe.

- Replace the bottom existing 100mm diameter drainage pipe.

- Supply and install geotextile to drainage trench.

- Stage 1 - The top 1m layer be dismantled and removed (existing rock to be safely stockpiled for reuse on site) Batter above wall to be flattened to maximum 45 degrees.

- Stage 2 - The second & third 1m layer to be dismantled and removed (existing rock to be safely stockpiled for reuse on site) Batter above wall to be flattened to maximum 45 degrees. Use non-destructive digging (Vacuum truck) to remove material from behind the two gabions.

- Stage 4 - Construct a new 1m wide x 2m high gabion wall in front of the bottom 2 layers which were straightened to the required setback angle.

Miscellaneous Works

- Remove guardrail and store onsite for reinstatement when gabion baskets are completed.

- Devege exiting batter.

- Place topsoil, jute matting and native plant stock to all areas disturbed during the works.

- Reinstate guardrails.
