Yarriambiack Shire Council are seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors (VBA Registration {or equivalent} as a Commercial Builder) to undertake all works associated with the re-development of the former Rupanyup Shire Office building internally and externally.

Council has received funding from the State Government (Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions) to renovate and redevelop the former Shire Office at 59 Cromie Street, Rupanyup to create an interactive community library and early years precinct (“Dunmunkle Community Library Precinct”).

The aim is to aspire for a place that improves physical and mental health and builds a stronger more resilient community. The Precinct will be developed to meet a diverse range of people with the early years (children's) toilets, library reading area and open space play areas (indoors and outdoors) encouraging families and carers to utilise the precinct with children.

The disability ramps, parking, and amenities will promote inclusion and provide for people who experience mobility issues; wide open spaces indoors and outdoors will also enable access for people in wheelchairs, people with prams, people utilising walkers and motorised scooters.

The budget for this project is $590,000-$605,000 (excluding GST).

Under the State Government’s Funding Agreement, works on this project are required to be completed by 31 December 2023; Council appreciates this timeline may be impractical and tenderers should submit a program commensurate with anticipated project commencement date and provide details of a realistic anticipated project completion date.
