Loddon Shire Council is seeking quotations for suitably qualified consultant to develop a new Domestic Wastewater Management Plan that:

• reflects Council’s current commitment to onsite wastewater management as outline in our DWMP 2015-2019.
• that includes a risk matrix which has been developed using the risk assessment framework please see: https://www.water.vic.gov.au/liveable/managing-onsite-domestic-wastewater-systems/risk-assessment-framework-for-managing-onsite-wastewater
• conduct at least two consultation session with the project reference group that will include members from Loddon Shire, Coliban Water, Goulburn Murray Water and Environment Protection Authority.
• review the data that is held within the GIS system to determine its value and include within the DWMP any alterations that are recommended regarding this data.
• prepare a recommendation and costing for Council to meet the ministerial requirements for an exemption.

Undertake a review of the five sewered townships, with the aim of providing a clear boundary (down to property level) where connection to the sewer via a sewer extension is cost effective and preferable as opposed to utilising an onsite wastewater disposal system. Specific consolation with Coliban Water regarding this will be necessary. Once adopted as part of the DWMP all identified properties will be required to connect to the sewer, an onsite wastewater permit will not be issued by Council.
