Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠This grant opportunity is to increase NDIS provider and worker awareness of the rights of people with disability receiving behaviour support services and to strengthen NDIS participant and provider connections to improve behaviour support outcomes. The grant is to develop, plan, design and implement a grant to respond to the issue of people who are experiencing behaviours of concern and restrictive practices lacking effective consultation and participation during the development of their NDIS behaviour support plans.

Eligibility:

This grant opportunity is suited to organisations or tertiary institutions with expertise in positive behaviour support and Knowledge Implementation Science. All applicants must work with one or more registered NDIS behaviour support providers to ensure the lived experience participants and practitioners is taken into consideration. Behaviour support providers can be located using the NDIS Provider Finder webpage and filtering for Registration Group “Behaviour Support”.

It is important that applicants for this grant are able to demonstrate experience in consulting with people with behaviours of concern and/or are experiencing restrictive practices.

To be eligible you must:

·        have an Australian Business Number (ABN)

·        be registered for the purposes of GST

·        be a permanent resident of Australia

·        have an account with an Australian financial institution

·        be located in Australia.

and be one of the following entity types:

·        an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Corporation registered under the Corporations (Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006

·        a company incorporated in Australia

·        a company incorporated by guarantee

·        an incorporated trustee on behalf of a trust

·        an incorporated association

·        a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation

·        a publicly funded research organisation

·        a joint (consortia) application with a lead organisation

We can only accept applications:

·        where you can provide evidence from your board (or chief executive officer or equivalent if there is no board) that the grant activity is supported, and that you can complete the grant activity and meet the costs of the grant activity not covered by the grant.
