Expressions of interest open for car share service in Byron Shire

⁠⁠⁠Car sharing was introduced in the Byron Shire in 2019.

We are inviting Expressions of Interest to review potential new operators for car-sharing services.

We want to encourage sustainable travel and transport throughout the Byron Shire, including Byron Bay.

We are seeking expressions of interest from car-share providers who want access to the council's 14 designated car-share parking spaces for the next three years. This will start 1 August 2023.

There are currently 12 spaces in Byron Bay and 2 in Mullumbimby.
