The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) on behalf of the State, has commenced the procurement process for Melbourne’s metropolitan tram franchise. 

Pre-Qualification is open with the Pre-Qualification Document including all Appendices and relevant attachments available here.

DTP seeks Responses from Interested Parties who have the capacity, capability and commitment to successfully operate the new tram franchise.

This is a competitive process, and the State will only be inviting Interested Parties who meet the Pre-Qualification Criteria to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP) Phase.

Responses should be made before 12.00pm AEST, 12 May 2023 in accordance with Section 6 of the Pre-Qualification Document and submitted to MR5@transport.vic.gov.au

Note that release of tender documentation is subject to Victorian Government approval.
