Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠West Moreton Hospital and Health Serivce is seeking Proposals for electrical compliance upgrades to Ipswich Hospital electrical infrastructure.

Upgrades are required as a result of recent upgrades of Chiller Two and Chiller Three. The existing electrical installation (with the new chillers installed) has been inspected and reviewed with the following issues requiring urgent action:

The demand loading on existing electrical circuits is in excess of the circuit protective device. The rating of the circuit protective device is too low for the maximum demand of the circuit.

The existing MTS (non-automatic switch disconnector) has a maximum rating that is lower than the maximum demand loading on this device is. The existing ATS(s) rating is too low for the maximum demand of the circuit.

There are two outgoing connections on the load side of the ATS (one to supply the chiller and one to supply the MSSB(s)). The smaller of these cables (supplying the MSSB(s)) is not protected by any suitable circuit protective device. The cable is not protected from overload or fault conditions.

A mandatory site inspection is being held Thursday, 16 March 2023 – 9:00 to 11:00am. The meeting point will be at Café on The Hilltop. Please note, without attending the inspection, offers will be considered non-conforming.
