RFQ re Auctioneer Services – Sale of South West Victoria Livestock Exchange Saleyard Equipment

⁠⁠⁠Warrnambool City Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to provide auctioneer and valuation services in relation to the sale of surplus equipment at the South West Victoria Livestock Exchange (SWVLX).

The Warrnambool saleyards has now ceased operations, therefore Council is seeking to engage a contractor to organise and facilitate the sale of a range of surplus goods and equipment.

The scope of services required will include:

• Asset valuations
• Photographing, cataloguing and compiling a detailed inventory of asset lots for sale
• Develop a marketing plan tailored to the industry and assets being sold to maximise exposure to potential buyers
• Facilitate viewings of larger items and machinery
• Conducting multiple online public auctions
• Settling the sale and dispersal of sold items
• Provide consolidated billing and reporting

Indicative items for sale include cattle yards, fences, approx. 1200 gates, walkways, seats and rubber matting.
